Letters From The Sea is operated by Sea Breeze Script. When you use the service or buy a subscription, your contract is with Sea Breeze Script. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Letters From The Sea lets you write private letters by the sea and share them through secret links that expire 24 hours after writing. An optional paid Pro subscription unlocks premium inks, papers, shells, curiosities, the treasure chest and longer letters.

By using the service you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and, if you use it on behalf of an organisation, that you have the authority to bind that organisation.

You must not misuse the service. That means no:

— unlawful use, harassment, threats or harm to others through the letters you send;

— fraud, spam or unsolicited bulk messages;

— content that infringes someone else's intellectual property;

— interfering with the service: malware, probing or attacking our systems, scraping, or attempting to bypass technical limits such as letter expiry or Pro gating;

— reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the service itself.

You are responsible for the letters you write and for having the right to send any content you include in them.

If you create an account, keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Sea Breeze Script owns the service and its intellectual property — the software, design, artwork, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. You retain ownership of the letters you write; you grant us only the limited licence needed to store and deliver them to your intended recipient.

Pro is a monthly subscription. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record under Paddle's Buyer Terms. Your subscription renews monthly until you cancel, which you can do at any time from the "Manage subscription" link in the Pro dialog or through Paddle's customer portal — Pro then stays active until the end of your paid month. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

We do our best, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. The service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties — including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose — to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate access to the service in cases of material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of the acceptable-use rules. When access ends, account data is handled as described in our privacy notice; letters always delete themselves at expiry regardless.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sea Breeze Script is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages — including loss of profits, data or goodwill — arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction, and disputes will be resolved in its courts unless mandatory local law says otherwise.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so on this page before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
